Jesus Duke, you're a national treasure. And I don't through that round lightly. I want the Cubs to win more to see tomorrow's thread rather than just wanting the Cubs to win.

"Javy gave me a sign to take a bigger lead and at that point I knew exactly what he was thinking," Contreras said. "On the first pitch I did a fake steal which I think prompted the throw over on the second pitch. It worked out. Javy has the best instincts as a runner and player."

Will be interesting to see what kind of starter we trade for before the deadline. Obviously, if we’d have another injury, Farrell can’t be the replacement.

 

Maybe Chavez. But I imagine they will get somebody.
