I don't mind it. The upside is obviously there, probably would have paid more for Davis or another closer with elite potential, and when healthy the Cubs have Edwards, Cishek and Strop as solid backup closer options.

I guess I’m just venting. That was a frustrating game. And I hate the horsefeathering Dodgers.

First, if Morrow was unavailable then you don't use Cishek and Rosario for 2 batters each, so Joe is a horsefeathering moron. If he was available, Joe is a horsefeathering moron. Second, how in the ever loving horsefeathers was KB not in no doubles defense? I understand not wanting to allow the tying run to score, but the Dodgers are out of horsefeathering players, and you have a huge edge if it does go extras. Joe horsefeathers the bed in every imaginable way a manager can horsefeathers the bed in 9 innings.

 

Not playing the line there may have been worse than the 'Wilson decision.

 

Wilson was fine. He's been fantastic. The rest of the decision making was piss poor though and so was Albert Almora's at bat.

Maybe, I wasn’t able to watch the entire game closely. Bad (large) K zone all game from what I saw. Pitch should have been called strike 3.
