Does it count as overreaction if I've always been on board the "pitchers are fickle, we've gotten positive variance from them for several years now, and eventually we'll probably have some seasons where a bunch of our pitchers suck and we struggle" train?

Maybe this is one of those seasons. Maybe it isn't. But three years of good has people overconfident. The 2015 Washington Nationals can happen to anyone.

The gif theme tomorrow should be any movie that deals with the end of the world, Armageddon, or any apocalyptic event.

Supercubs are like Spider-Man at the end of Infinity War and Theo is Tony Stark.

I went golfing today and didn’t watch any of the game because #WeAreGood and don’t care about meaningless games in May. See you in the playoffs and after a 3rd straight division title.

My wife’s entire family went to this game. They’re all cardinals fans and we of course are not. Since I am not supposed to travel too far away from my cancer doctor I couldn’t go. Silver lining: at least I have cancer so I didn’t have to see that game in person.

I was sent a picture of my 3-year-old boy absolutely pissed after the game, so now he knows how I felt all those years I was growing up watching Cubs games in that dump of a city.

Glad he doesn’t have to worry about “100 years blah blah blah as he walks out of those games though.”

When I got home after watching Game 7 of the World Series he was asleep, but that didn’t keep me from going into his room and telling him he will never have to worry about hearing “1908,” etc. growing up.

Man, I’m glad we won that title.
