joe needs to have a quicker hook with wilson. when he's off, he's complete trash and leaving him out there to work it out clearly does not work for him.

How is it that every time this team scores a ton of runs in one game, they struggle the next game?

pretty sure this is the case for every team in baseball, not just mutually exclusive to the Cubs.

Nope, it's just the Cubs. The rest of baseball is teams racing to score double digit runs first, because once they do it once it obviously continues like that the rest of the season. Puts us at a bit of a disadvantage, but we'll see how Theo adjusts.

Agree, I get since it's only April you don't necessarily want to manage like a playoff game but the game was still in reach if we get out of it at 3-1 going into the bottom half. Almost need to have someone warming up with Wilson when you plan to bring him in so as soon as he appears to be losing it he gets yanked.

We look like poop out there. Snap out of it boys and start dominating.

I am about to put an overreactionary "Who is worse Hickey or Chili" poll out there even though clearly they need more time to make an impact on the team.

The pitching has been mostly good, especially the bullpen. Who knows what, if any, real affects Hickey has had but there's some things to like with how Q has seemed to be attacking a little different so far. I don't know if there's any saving for Wilson and there's been some clunky starts but overall I'm fairly happy with the pitching. Cishek has also been really good and Hickey seemed to have fixed/fine tuned him going back to last year in Tampa.

I turned it off but did the Bryant HBP look at all intentional? I saw on gameday ball 1 was way inside then he got hit 2 pitches later.

no. it grazed his elbow armor
