Glad Bryant managed to crossed the plate, it looked like he wasnt going particularly hard, assuming that Contreras wasn't going to be thrown out. Edited by UMFan83

I know I'm wrong, but replay is so not intended for this crap.

Hey it might have won us a playoff series last year so I'm all in favor of it. Until it fucks us royally.

They get crap like this right but not during Saturday's Brewer game with LaStella at home. Safe to out is ok but not out to safe?

Agree, it should be changed for instances like this. If you reasonably held the bag without just sliding past it or like falling off to the side you should still be safe if you pop off for a second. Same with the home plate thing, if your foot/hand is above it before the tag you should be safe you shouldn't actually need to touch it on a slide.

Was it an overslide?

No. He did a pop up slide and his foot jumped off the base (back towards second base) for a split second before his other foot hit it and the foot that popped off got back on it. The initial slide/contact with the base got in fairly easily before the tag.

That curve is nice. Throw it more, dammit.

It’s damn impressive. What’s the pitch he throws at 87-90? A cutter/change/split/sinker or 2-seam?
