I was hoping/expecting Lester to bounce back this year and he still definitely might but he looked a lot like last year's Lester today.

Some bad luck today for Lester with Schwarber defense and some soft contact going for hits but he didn’t overly help himself, command and location was pretty bad. Oh well, think he’s better than results today and he doesn’t need to be 2015/16 Lester anymore. Plus as was noted earlier he’s had some slow starts in his career.

MLB Audio sucks this year. For one, it’s delayed just as much as the video and has frequently been behind gameday. I also can’t listen to the audio on the same page as gameday anymore. And the page that brings up the audio only shows the line score, the pitcher, the batter and the next two to bat. It doesn’t show the number of outs or the count anymore. Last year it also had a full box score if you scrolled down.

 

Hopefully they’re going to update it but right now this is a huge downgrade.

RH batter up hit the ball off the end of the bat towards 1B, relatively hard, Rizzo was holding the runner and was playing further in and it seemed like he just completely didn’t see the ball off the bat. His glove stayed on his right side and the ball was on his left side in between the bag and his left leg. At least should’ve been able to knock it down and get 1 out.
