Yeah not impressed with his accuracy overall today although he had some nice throws

Hit him in the hands

He had to stretch to max extension to get his hands to it, with no defensive presence to force the throw there. Good NFL QBs put that throw two feet further down.

Sure thing boss. Good NFL QBs never need their receivers to make catches on balls that don't hit then in the numbers.

I'm really happy they opened it up in the fourth quarter. There were some very positive signs once the stopped going run-run-pass every time. Mitch definitely has some tools to work with, but he's got a long way to go before he's a finished product. This was a really good learning game for him.

Inman looks like he could be a really solid pickup. What will be his status for next year?

I wouldn't go out of my way to call that an accurate throw. But it wasn't a bad throw, either. Now, the one where he had bellamy wide open was horrible.

he wasnt stretched to "max extension" he was in a dead run and the ball when right between his hands. It was a good place to throw the ball. two feet lower and its just as easily behind him

He led him just a bit too much and threw it high enough to put his receiver in jeopardy of getting clocked if he caught the ball. A more accurate throw is an easy catch and gives the receiver a chance to make a move before getting hit. That's also the kind of ball that will go off the receivers hands and get picked off. Those high balls over the middle are dangerous.

Inman is a FA after this season.

first time playing with a guy less then a minute in the 4th, and it hit the wr's hands.

the story of this game isnt Mitchell, ts John Fox and is horseshit play calling and replay challenges

i'd start talking new contract with him and his agent, see what the parameters are. Inman, Meredith look like two # 2's. Draft early in the 1-2 rounds a speedster route runner type and dump White.

They'll keep Inman. I'm pretty sure of that. But, they need a top flight FA and a 1st or 2nd day draft pick, to go with him and Meredith.

Trubisky needs lots of help and I'm just going to try and think giving him weapons will Goff him up next year. He doesn't look as bad as Goff did last year, at least.

Wasnt max entension, but maybe inexperienced throw, though accurate.

It's crazy how many parallels there are with last year's Rams, even though that doesn't really mean much. Here's hoping we get a young offensive minded hot shot coaching this team next year too.

They aren't dumping White. His contract is guaranteed for 5M+. Might as well hang on to him and hope he plays like the 7th overall player from the draft.

I'd be good with hoping he plays like a rosterable wide receiver.

He definitely should be at camp, but I'd be really worried if he wins a top 5 WR job by default because it would mean they didn't address the position.

Well that's not true. He's not very good at reading D's yet. Most spread college QBs aren't halfway through their rookie season though, so he's got time. A bona fide offensive guru coaching him vould help that though.

if Iman catches that, his inability to read defenses probably doesnt make any differnce

Oh come on, it's pretty disingenuous to try and boil it down to one throw like that. If Mitchell Trubisky throws a better pass the preceding play, we aren't talking about Inmans drop. So I guess it cuts both ways.

As it is Trubisky is the best QB on our roster and honestly further along than I thought he'd be in May. So I hope he keeps it up, but he can be both a average to slightly below average NFL QB right now and still hold a lot of promise, which I think he does because his issues don't seem glaring to me, and better coaching a little better supporting cast can probably take care of a lot if it.

It was still at best an average pass to Inman at the end.

Id agree with that being an average throw, but people are acting like Inman is dead because Trubisky laid him out and never should have thrown the ball. All the Hundley was so much better [expletive]. I mean, our defense couldn’t stop jr varsity NFL roster.

Gonna be exciting to see who the Bears hire to replace Fox since they have such a good history of making the right decisions.

He should have thrown it, probably just a millisecond sooner and a foot lower. I mean, I'm sure he didn't mean to throw it that high, but maybe Inmans neck confused Trubisky on his actual catch radius.

Inman should have caught it, and the D should have had hem in a much better spot.

FA, high draft pick, maybe bring back Inman or similar, Meredith back from injury, then White as the 5th.

Likely to be injuries. Meredith may be slow come back. Rookie may be slow to get the playbook. White gets some snaps if he's healthy and you get what you can out of him until he's hurt again.
