The only thing I’m overly mad about this game is the inning Heyward has the lead off single, Javy should’ve bunted. He doesn’t stand a chance against Strasburg, at best you put pressure with wet grass and maybe force errors and at worst he has a sac bunt. Other than that bad luck/didn’t play well

 

You don't sac bunt in front of the pitcher.

 

I think he's suggesting Javy try to bunt for a hit. If he reaches there is 2 on and 0 out and you can lift Lester if needed

Yeah I suggest him bunting for a hit, which he’s good at and hope at worst it ends up a sacrifice. Then you lift Lester there in place of Schwarber or Seal Boy.

The only thing that has really disappointed me has been the defensive lapses. I expected runs would be at a premium, and the Nats caught a huge beak with the rainout.

Eh. I'm not going to fault Joe for that. Once Lester came in, you have to commit to using him for more than the 1 inning he pitched to that point. Because it's not like you can use him tomorrow either way. You could fault him for not double switching out Zobrist at that point (can't really fault him for not switching out Russell who made the last out the previous inning), but then you have to put Schwarber in the OF defensively. And it's not like he showed anything against Strasberg in Game 1.

Nats fans are probably saying the same thing about their offense. Outside of two innings, they have been completely silenced. And they were really potent all season. A lot of really good pitching this series.

You're being fooled by Strasburg and Scherzer being amazing and having their good stuff. This offense is studly and was dynamite in the second-half this year. They can erupt at any moment. And they will against a non-elite schlub tomorrow.

Pulling Lester with 2 outs and a runner on first, not pulling Carl until 2 batters after it was clear he was bad Carl, letting his closer pitch to 2 extra batters in a 5 run game with Game 5 in 24 hours

 

Could it be we are witnessing a really great manager in the Regular Season and a very average one in Postseason play?
