Not to be forgotten amidst all the dongs, but Hendricks was fantastic again tonight. He has a 2.48 ERA since coming off the DL. His changeup has been really nasty lately. Last two games, hitters are 2-31 with 11 K's and 3 GIDP's against it. They whiffed on 16 of 32 swings at it tonight. Here are his whiff/swing each of the last two years on the changeup:

2015: 40.5%

2016: 38.6%

And then this year pre- and post-DL stint:

Pre-DL: 27.9%

Post-DL: 39.3%

He's looking like Somehow Greg Maddux Kyle.

Sorry guys but none of this counts. Schwarber Fan conceeded this game to the Phillies after the 1st inning.

How many World Series do we have to win before people like him aren't complete idiots in game threads?

At one point earlier this year I said something along the lines that the Cubs could win 100+ games each year for a decade straight, win the World Series each year, and he'd still overreact like this. It's just who he is and nothing the Cubs do will ever change it.

I mean you're probably right but there have been plenty of frustrating moments this year that at least somewhat warrant some of it.

I'd like to apologize to the Professor for doubting him and thinking he was permanently broken earlier in the season.

You declared the game over at 2-0 in the first inning. That would be a stupid thing to do if it was the 2012 Cubs playing this year's Dodger team with Kershaw pitching. This is, at the very least, a decent Cubs team playing a crappy Phillies team. It's just a flat out dumb thing to post or think.

There's a big difference between complaining about a starting pitcher getting knocked around or a player on another team killing the Cubs and saying a game is over in the 1st inning.
