this thread did not fix him so I’m not sure anything will ever work

Duke should write an article about him because one of two things will happen:

-Wilson will follow the "Duke wrote about a player" tradition and get significantly worse or injured, in which case the Cubs will get rid of him and we won't have to see him pith much longer

-Duke's article works as a reverse jinx and Wilson becomes good.

Seems like a win-win to me.

That was particularly disappointing last night. He seemed to be spotting his fastball really well, hitting 98 and had a couple good-looking changeups diving out of the zone. Then he completely lost his command and left everything fat and in the zone until we had to take him out like the piece of trash that he is.

I didn't see every hitter he faced, but this was really disappointing because in the last several weeks he seemed to be back to being very hard to hit and simply walking a few too many guys, and then he comes in and gives up 3 hits. Last night he continued to throw strikes, and Santana hits a 96 mph fastball that's out of the zone up for a double, and Thames takes a cutter/slider on the outside corner and rolls it into right field. I'm not necessarily saying he was unlucky, but man those two pitches in particular looked like exactly what you'd hope and that's how he gave up the lead. Frustrating.
