Man the BFIB are all over fowler. His defense has looked bad from what little I've seen of him this year.

Dex was diagnosed this year with a chronic heel issue that will impact him the rest of his career. That contract is looking good.

I'm sure they are going over the top, but he's not really and never has been a good defender. We tapped in to re-positioning him to not be awful and maximize what he can be, but the reality is he isn't a very good fielder and has an awful arm and probably should be a left fielder.

When you have to resort to citing 2016, it had been a while No matter how much you guys want to believe it hadn't. You cannot dispute that it had been a while since KB had a hit in a high leverage situation. This does not mean that he's not clutch.

The Brewers citation was from this very year.

This is true and my apologies for skipping over it

Dexter appears to be drifting back up this year.

Of players that played at least 5,000 pitches in center last year (filtered by away games, to try to avoid any home field bias), Dexter was 10th deepest out of 43 with an average starting position of 321 feet.

Of 51 players with at least 2,500 pitches in center this year (with the same away filter), he's 32nd deepest at 317 feet.

I picked a 2016 game solely because it was a playoff game. Greater significance, etc etc.

While this is true, it's not like you had much to choose from for 2017. He has 4 hits and a 138 BA, 214 wOBA (0 XBH) in HLS this year. That's got to improve, and I'm hoping yesterday is the start of that, and he can get back to 2015 status where he was his usual wrecking ball self.

Lololololololololol

Can you please tell me how one practices the skill of hitting in high leverage spots?

Can you refute that he hasn't had many hits in HLS this year? That was the original point.

i honestly haven't looked at a stat that stupid (outside of refuting dumb game thread comments) since like 2001
