Agreed. I've seen some people swear it's the first one, but I can't come anywhere close to making that many syllables fit.

Oh I can definitely see it both ways.

How? Seriously? I can't possibly make it fit. I mean, I can see "horsefeathing send him", but I cannot make "Why didn't he" fit before that without being comically high speed compared to the slow, emphatic pace of the rest of the sentence. Forget matching syllables to the movement of his lips, just look at the timing of it.

More like whdnhe. Try saying it out loud with the gif, if you haven't. It just doesn't fit.

Sure it does; given how he sounded when speaking english, it fits even better. If you're expecting it to look like he's enunciating every syllable, it ain't ever going to happen; "whdnhe" is a pretty accurate transcription of what it would sound like. Latin baseball players with heavy accents and speaking english like the words are piling on top of each other is SOP.

Far more glaring is how anyone could think the obvious "s"-sound he's making when he says "send" could possibly be him saying "game."

I think "What a funky dame" is also a solid contender.

I'm like 99% sure he's saying "what a horsefeathering game". It becomes pretty clear if you open that video on a new page and zoom in on his face.

I'm deaf and been lip reading for 33 years now. I can see the other way without zooming in the video, but like Geech said, it's the timing.

Boy, you must be really bad at being deaf to think "send him" is "game". Sammy said so earlier.

I was gonna go a long post explaining stuff, but there's no need to go even more into it.

And horsefeathers off with the "really bad at being deaf" horseshit. You must not know anyone who is deaf because that's pretty insulting.

Lastly, has anyone ask Miggy this on twitter? You would think someone would.

Geech was so clearly being sarcastic, I'm about 50/50 that you're joking, as well.

He wasn't serious; he was sarcastically slamming me for sounding like a know-it-all when it comes to lip-reading.

Ok. Thought he was with that last statement, but still poor word choice there.

It was deliberately a preposterous thing to say. I loved the juxtaposition of Sammy's affected expertise and certainty against your actual, hard-won expertise, and I was trying to humorously draw more attention to it. I apologize for not making that clear. I hope you don't harbor any hard feelings, because I legit wanted to high-five you after you made your post.

Brett from Bleacher Nation is having twitter kittens over a story about the Cubs trying to get Trump to say "you're fired" about Miggy. I think he might have a nervous breakdown.

Why the horsefeathers do I keep seeing this as a story? I saw the video where Gammons said it and I know he didn't really say it like it was a joke, but its freaking obvious that the Cubs were really not going to have Trump "fire" Miggy. Even the most tone deaf front offices would know that this wasn't a good idea, much less a sharp and tactful one like the Cubs

I thought you were being sarcastic. It was the "being deaf" part that got me. It's hard as a deaf person to read "really bad at being deaf" and not be offended right off the bat by it even it was just joking/sarcastic. Had you said lip reading instead of being deaf, I wouldn't have thought anything of it because lord knows my friends have made fun of or called me out on it whenever I've made a horrible lip reads. We're cool though.

think he's just annoyed by the clickbait headline that says something like "The Cubs considered having Trump tell Montero, 'You're fired!'" instead of just saying they joked about it or whatever

but yeah you'd have to be an idiot to think they really considered that

but there are lots of idiots, which is why clickbait works

i love the clickbait ads that are like "You'll never believe what happened in !"
