Quick question and please don't get angry. It's just that you're the people I talk Cubs with.

Is it worrisome at all that it doesn't matter who we play, we are in a dogfight every game? There has been only two games - one against Pittsburgh and yesterday - that were comfortable. I feel we have played enough medicore teams that it's surprising how much work most of these wins have been.

Thanks for listening.

Wade is kinda awesome

There's no "kinda" about it.

It would be interesting to go back to the Wade thread and see the reactions at the time.

Definitely not universal praise. In fact, the furthest thing from it. But, there was also concern he wouldn't be healthy. I suppose that is still a concern that lingers. But he's horsefeathering nails right now. He's pitching at the level he was at when he was at his very best.

What happens first?

a. Cubs allow no runs in the first

b. Wade gives up a run

A. Because why would Wade decide to ever give up a run?

It happens to all reigning champs in every sport. The opponents want to beat the champs and it brings out the best in them. The Cubs will be facing this all year.

Which is amazing, because his spring training was complete ass. Joe said he'd be fine. I think I believe him.
