Right, but the composite includes bad sites, too. So ranking is handicapped by rivals and others, who are generally more respected in football.

I continue to feel real good about this. As of right now, if he committed anywhere but Illinois, I would be shocked. they have him sold on his role as the main guy as a freshman. a guy who will have the ball in his hands, though not necessarily the point guard. he's sold on leading the Illini back to relevance on the national scene, he's essentially sold on being that guy.

 

Michigan State has a better track record as far as the tournament and getting guys to the pros, and that isn't lost on the dad or mom. however, Mark has wanted to be an Illini this whole time, and was respecting his parents by gaining some perspective. i think they were able to appease mom and dad by coming in with Underwood's plan and telling Mark exactly how he'll fit in, and then alluding to the successes of Jeffery Carroll and Jawun Evans.

 

like i said, if it happened today and it wasn't the Illini, i'd be shocked. but we know how things change.
