the site is getting the hug of death, anyone else? Doesn't seem like there's enough visitors to slow things down.

yeah it broke for about 5 minutes for me

They have talked more about Yadier Molina's re-signing and standing ovations more than the Cubs winning the World Series.

And how does >200 career home runs, .285/.338/.400/.738, 98 OPS+ makes you a "No doubt hall-of-famer" ?

It did. Seems better now though.

Why do we need this Lester needs a babysitter narrative while we already have the he can't field or throw narrative?

It's stupid. Buster has brought it up a few times during pregame and during, now he's got the announcers talking about it.

i think it was boone last inning that said something along the lines of (speaking about Lester and Contreras): "But, I think - to start the season at least - both guys have a lot of respect for each other". what a weird premonition.

though a week early, Derwood's question is valid. The home opener appears to be ESPN only as well. It's BBTN before so they should be able to show it but it's pretty annoying Len won't be on the air for the moment.

Yes, ESPN will of course be showing it. They're even running promos for it already.

And yeah, it would be nice if Len could be involved.

Usually the only ESPN-only games are the Sunday night games. I do see the Cubs schedule only lists ESPN, but that would be very unusual.

Also, I was in Wrigleyville this weekend and there's construction everywhere. They've got a lot to do before next Monday.
