Four Peaks Brewery tour. Hike Camel Back (but try not to have to crap your pants halfway up like I almost did).

Ok, one last time. I will try and be more explicit in my request.

On a day when the Cubs do not have a home spring training game, what is the best option for catching a couple minutes of the Cubs/minor leaguers practicing. Where does that take place? when can fans see them?

honestly i would try reaching out to someone like arguello or brett or those types on twitter. doesn't seem like we have a ton of people who regularly attend ST here.

Have you been to Sloan yet? The practice fields are literally right next to Sloan (where the Cubs play home ST games). When I was there 2 weekends ago, we went early like 10-ish to watch BP. It was a split squad day but the team that was playing away was taking BP. Just missed Schwarber but saw Baez, Almora and Candy (who put a half dozen out in his 3 times thru the cage). Actually watching Baez field BP from that close was as cool as anything. He's so horsefeathering slick. The home team was practicing on the further field and we didn't walk over there bc they were kinda wrapping up.

That was opening weekend so I don't know if that's the norm. But I'm guessing you would see some guys working out or taking BP even if it's not the whole team if you go early. The huge practice building with locker room, etc, is to the left, the BP fields stacked in the middle, and Sloan to the right so I'm sure they all go there before heading to whatever game each day. And the Cubs store is accessible outside Sloan so I'm guessing that's open. It's a pretty awesome complex.

Then I'd go to dinner at Don & Charlie's bc there's a horsefeathers ton of baseball stuff and much of it is Cubs. Sounds like guys from the team eat there pretty frequently if you want a chance encounter with horseteeth lackey.

How was it? I just got back from a week out there on Friday and it was awesome. What did you find to do other than baseball?
