Kinda surprised given Ricketts political leanings but with Obama being a Chicago guy and most athletes not caring for the golden shower loving orange idiot ...

Eh if there is a sport that is going to have Trump supporters, its baseball.

Baseball and football.

Football will have a few more college graduates, even if they're fake degrees. Even amongst the white guys that should help tilt the scales a bit.

Here come a bunch of lame White Sox jokes.

Better than whatever Trump would spew out of his mouth if they went when he's in office.

Exactly, I'll happily take some lame White Sox dad jokes.

I got a kick out of how eager Theo was to visit the White House before Jan 20 when people asked him about this a while back.

I really don't understand the strong political feelings here. Both candidates sucked, we were getting a bad one regardless. Looking down on someone for supporting Trump while acting like the hiliary supporters were right is just getting ridiculous and unnecessarily divisive, it's just perpetuates this broken two party crap that we're all victim to. During the election I acted like how I've been as a Cubs fan my whole life... held out hope even when I knew there was little chance, and I hoped a good third party candidate would come out of left field and surprise everyone. That said, I started the whole DABDA thing after the primaries were over, since I knew we were getting a crap sandwich regardless of which party prevailed.

Frankly, I'm just happy that a huge White Sox fan who has spoken smack about the Cubs (and Cubs fans) in the past now has to host the World Champion Chicago Cubs.

No, not really. It's time to get over it. What's dumb is acting like one of those two was a saint who was going to fix all of our problems while the other was a knuckle dragger. They were both terrible candidates.

i am not a democrat and i think this is insane. are you paying any attention whatsoever to anything that is going on and that has gone on since the election? or are you unaware of the cabinet full of neo nazis and other assorted lunatics?

this isn't even close

and obama isn't a huge white sox fan (he's about as much of a sox fan as rahm is a cubs fan) lol nor is he eating crow on this, give me a break

aside....is "cominskey field" worse or is this worse?

"What's the best moment that you can remember from Chicago baseball, whether it be South Side, North Side, whatever?" Harrelson asked during the broadcast.

Emanuel, an avowed Cubs backer, answered not by recalling moments from near misses on the North Side in 1969, 1984 or 2003, or by reminiscing about soaking up some rays during day baseball at Wrigley Field. Instead, the mayor mispronounced the name of a Cubs legend while narrating a vague defensive play.

"Well, you know, I remember there was a great play, when Ron Santos, on a line drive, just jumped, you know, I don't even know what you would call it, leaped, jumped, just moved and caught a line drive. I forgot what game it was, but it was a tremendous play," Emanuel said.

From his press secretary, on October 5th: “The president is a loyal Chicago White Sox fan." He leans strongly enough to where his press secretary felt it necesary to make that statement. I'm sure he was happy for the city as a whole, but he was always an out-and-out Sox fan.

Yes that's exactly what we were doing in the Politics Thread, we were canonizing Hillary Clinton.

it's pretend nonsense that most politicians do, probably because he's from the south side.

No, this is idiotic. One was a competent if morally questionable candidate while the other is a completely incompetent piece of horsefeathers with nothing resembling a moral compass and unprecedented corruption capabilities. There is no equivalency here. Trump is garbage, Clinton was fine. Stop being an idiot.

This is a pretend thing that's happening in your imagination.
