I wish Iowa played Michigan back when the Cubs were still playing so I wouldn't have to watch whatever is going to happen here.

Kinnick + Michigan = talent levels don't matter

We keep making mistakes but are still in this (would be tied if it weren't for that drop.) I did think Iowa would play with energy but thought Michigan was too good for us to keep it close. Now it's feeling a little like when Iowa upset Penn State in 2008. Still think Michigan pulls away.

football isn't fun anymore, and that's not entirely because Iowa sucks

I can see that.

And now that the Cubs won sports don't really feel the same anymore period.

Iowa Penn State is the exact scenario I was thinking about before this game as a worst case scenario for this game. That said that Iowa team was better than this one.

Michigan has a great D but when they struggle it's against the run and Iowa has taken advantage of that tonight. Plus Michigan making a ton of dumb mistakes

The funny thing is that Michigan can hypothetically afford to lose this game if you believe that there is no way a 1 loss Big Ten champion could be left out of the playoff

That's the thing.

I don't know a lot about football and am only watching because I'm the epitome of a fair weather Hawkeye fan, but I feel like this game isn't even that big for Michigan; if they go on to beat Ohio St and Wisconsin, they're almost definitely in. Especially when you factor in what #2 and #4 have done tonight.

While watching the 4th quarter of the Indiana-Penn State game, I thought to myself well if the Cubs can win the World Series then IU can beat PSU and break all the droughts they were showing on TV (winning 3 Big Ten games in a row, beating a Top 10 team, going bowling for 2 straight years).

Then I was like nah, we are IU. We'll horsefeathers it up. :stickman:

Still, getting better. And should get that second straight bowl bid by winning the Bucket for the 4th straight year.

What the hell is roughing the center?

I have watched over 7 million football games, and that is the first time I have ever seen that called

I wonder if the dude who did it even knew it was a rule. I've never heard of it.

The funny thing (well for me I guess) is that by how they described it (have to give the center a second before barreling them over) the call was dubious

Let's say Michigan loses this (and I hope not). With Clemson and Washington also losing who is your new top 4? Bama obviously. Ohio St and Louisville almost certainly. The 4th spot would have to be between Clemson and Michigan right? Can't see a 2 loss Wisconsin or Penm State over the 1 loss teams. Maybe Texas A&m against since they seem to like them?

Edit: except they are losing with 30 secs left. What a wild day. 2,3,4,8,9 could all go down

Well, Iowa has a chance. I have no faith they drive into field goal range and then make that field goal but what the hell. I thought'd we'd be down by 40 at this point.

It will be interesting how they rank Clemson and Louisville. We'll see how much stock they put in head to head matchups.

Under your scenario, I'd guess Bama, OSU, Clemson, Louisville, Michigan, Washington. Michigan would obviously be 2 if they win. Washington will be the lowest ranked of the 1-loss teams and OSU will be ahead of Louisville.

Just execution failures all over. Give a lot of credit to Iowa but Michigan is also doing everything possible to lose his game and with that penalty it looks fairly likely that they will
