That game was everything I thought it would be.

When do we start talking about this being one of the all time great teams? They won over 100 regular season games. The defense was historically good. 2 starting pitchers should be finalists for the Cy Young. The lineup didn't have any meaningful weaknesses. Oh and they also won the WORLD SERIES!.

I stood up in the middle of the night to watch the game from my time zone

Unbelievable... I nearly got an heart attack.... 5-1 than later 6-3 than 6-6 and they came back

That was fantastic... I'm so happy... what a great team and a great season...

Thanks guys

So my luck seems to be going on... A lot of you guys waited so long, I'm really happy for all of you, it was magical... but the indians kept me in suspense... I believe I saw the best world series ever

Been a while since I've posted, but what a glorious night to end the greatest season of any of our lifetimes. What a time to be a Cubs fan. Love you all.

Brought this up in the hysteria of the win last night, but what do you think they do about a banner. They have to do something more than a little flag on the roof, right?

Saw a cool stat. SABR tracks "golden pitches," which are pitches that can end in either team winning the World Series. There had been at least 36 and probably 40 from a total of seven pitchers before last night. Mike Montgomery becomes the eighth, throwing two.

There are so many times when you wish for something so badly, and it happens and its not like you imagined it.

This was one of those times. Because this was better.

Ive thought about that a lot recently. Part of me thinks that they would keep tradition and just put a flag up. But horsefeathers tradition we hadn't won in 107 years, put up the biggest horsefeathering banner you could ever imagine. Drape it over the Nuveen sign and keep it there forever.

It's sinking in. Bestest day ever in the history of history.

So many great moments but the one that is sticking out right now is the look on KB's face as he throws the ball to Riz. I'm almost sure he's laughing as he's watching the ball travel across to first base.

How amazing that the Cubs won like that, too. Giving up the lead, the whole city coming down from their high, oh no not again.

NO MUTHAS. NOT AGAIN. CUBS WIN ANYWAY.

Whew.

I should warn you: Don't watch this unless you want a good cry.

I love our team.

A touching moment between Javy and Lester if you want to cry some more:

Why stop now? I've been crying all morning. Thank goodness I work from home.

Thanks for finding and sharing these.

msan i jus drank two bolttles of champane guys I love you

Judging by your posts last night, you got drunk in one heck of a hurry

Told myself to stop drinking wine as we entered the latter innings with the lead (don't want to be unable to remember it right?), then said screw it. Then Cubs give up the homer, switch to vodka. Couple of those through the rain delay, just about under the table during the final out.

Still remember it anyway. Interesting. Brain cells can't be killed by alcohol when the Cubs win the World Series.

I couldn't post, too many SQL errors.
