The Thursday Night, TNT, Bulls is maybe the most preposterous streak in sports history

Not nearly as preposterous but still wild is that the Bulls are now 27-25 vs LeBron's teams since The Decision, which I believe includes the playoff series LeBron has won in that time frame.

I think I saw on SportsCenter last night Lebron has a .360 or 380 something win % in Chicago for his career.

The only Bulls news worth a damn:

http://www.avclub.com/article/chance-rapper-talked-bulls-donating-another-1-mill-253057

Earlier this month, Chance The Rapper announced that he was making a $1 million donation to Chicago Public Schools, in the wake of an apparently disappointing meeting with Illinois governor Bruce Rauner about the city’s underfunded education system. Chance hopped back on Facebook Live this afternoon to update folks on his fundraising efforts, announcing that the Chicago Bulls organization has matched his donation, pledging another million to the city’s schools.

i gotta say rondo walking over to the other team's huddle in a key timeout is hilarious now that he's on the bulls

Well Bulls, Miami and Indiana tied for 7-9th spots. Bulls own the tiebreaker over both so technically in 7 seed. Jokes about how bad the Bulls are against bad teams, they have 0 games left against +500 teams. Their last 6 are against New Orleans, New York, Philly, Brooklyn, Orlando and Brooklyn again.

Wade coming back Saturday.

He will never do this but he would be a great fit coming off the bench as a 6th man. He just doesn't work on the court with Rondo and Jimmy and the numbers prove that.

I was at last Saturday's game as part of a bachelor party. It was actually legitimately fun down the stretch when Jimmy was singlehandedly carrying the team. Rondo picked a good day to decide he could shoot too.

God I hope the Bulls lose tonight. They probably won't, cuz for some reason the Nets are resting pretty much everyone for no reason, but the Bulls really need to miss the playoffs.

At this point, why? The opportunity to get the 14th pick instead of the 15th pick is marginal. Everyone already knows how bad and depressing this team is, yet at the same time how safe GarPax and Fred are at least for this season, so missing the playoffs doesn't really change Reinsdorf's plans for the offseason.

Those are really the 2 benefits to missing the playoffs right? (along with 'this team is so depressing i cant stand to watch them play basketball but since its the playoffs i'd have to watch). You pick 1-2 spots higher with a 1 in 100 shot at having a top 3 pick. I'd rather just watch a couple of playoff games with rooting interest even though we know they will be housed.

Also, if the Bulls can lose to a Melo/KP/Rose-less Knicks team they can lose to a bunch of D-League guys with something to prove tonight.

I think this Bulls team needs a major overhaul, including the front office. I think that's less likely to happen if they make the playoffs. It's admittedly probably unlikely in either case, to be fair, but I still think missing the playoffs provides the best opportunity for that.

Yeah everything I've read suggests that there is no way GarPax or Fred is gone after this year. And like I said in my last post, making the playoffs is unlikely to change the perception of this team. Everyone knows the team sucks, lacks talent, fits together awkwardly and is depressing to watch and follow.

If you take the pessemist view, playoffs this year is two playoff revenue games closer to keeping their jobs, I guess? I don't think it makes a difference for this year, but a year from now, "third straight missed playoffs" is maybe more impactful in bringing about change?

Obviously he's not going to get anywhere close to the max. However I will be super interested to see what contract he gets. I would guess it would be a 'prove it' type of deal like 2 yr/$30m or something.

What did Rondo get this offseason? I'm guessing it's similar to that.

We're going to beat Boston in the first round btw

I could see it. Bulls have the best player in the series. If you get engaged Rondon he could shut down Mini Me or else Jimmy can.

2/28, so give Rose $2m because he doesn't have a history of coaching hating him.

the chance to knock out simmons' team has gotten me slightly interested in this season again
