I remember when the only reason Arrieta made me nervous was seeing how deep he'd take a no hitter

Be that Jake again

this was semi prescient and kind of funny since he nearly gave me a heart attack in the 1st too

I still dislike Chapman in non clean non save situations

Same here. I would have liked Strop or CJ in to face Napoli and finish the 8th.

I feel like this has been ridiculously exagerrated & id rather nobody get the ball to get out of a jam more than Chapman.

Very interesting stuff from Bosio on The Score this morning.

They asked him about Jake being effectively wild. He said you can call it effectively wild or strategy. Said Indian bench was whistling and banging bats against polls to tip location against Lester so they had to change up things on the Jake start. He said Willson was purposely setting up in different locations than where the ball was going to throw Indian hitters off. Makes me feel better about the Jake start.

I wasn't there, so maybe he's right, but this sounds a lot like the Dodgers accusing Zobrist of stealing signs.

He didn't sound bitter at all though. He said it's part of the game. He said teams he played on in the past did it and was even more obvious about it. Basically said you try to gain every advantage you can to win a World Series.

Hell it makes me feel better about the Lester start except he was actually pretty good.

Wow what a horsefeathers move. But there is basically no more dishonest sport than baseball. Cheating is ingrained in its DNA. So it's not really surprising.

that or he just doesn't know how to spell it

Definitely phonetic. Look at how he spells Naquin's name. I imagine a lot of broadcasters do something similar.

Yeah, Bosio made the point that the Indians were hitting some Lester pitches that they shouldn't have touched unless they knew location. It's an interesting listen if you can find it online.

I can't figure out what he did with Ramirez.
