You know, I really had hoped I wouldn't start another game thread in the regular season, since that would've meant the Cubs kicked a lot of ass. At least it came at the very end of the season with only a few games left, so they still kicked a good bit of ass.

 

The Cubs are sending up the doombringer, Kyle Hendricks.

I'll never get tired of that photograph. Kyle brings his major league leading ERA of 1.99 and puts it on the line against the Reds who have been the Cubs very best friend this season. They'll be going up against one of their new best friends on the mound, Robert Stephenson.

 

 

You better watch out, or he'll getcha!

 

Or not. His last time out against the Cubs Stephenson gave up 4ER in 3.2 innings of work. He comes into the game with a sparkling 6.27 ERA. He's actually considered a solid prospect and I'm sure he has a decent future ahead of him in the major leagues, but right now? This year? And at this point in time?
