Congratulations to Michigan on closing out what I can only hope is the last 5-game homestand in college football history this week

I just may completely snap this fall if the Cubs don't win it all

I don't quite get why Iowa sucks all of a sudden but whatever.

And now Georgia completes a 47-yard TD pass with 12 seconds left to probably knock off Tennessee.

Holy horsefeathers Tennessee Hail Mary to win it.

I know you shouldn't give up a hail mary.....but players need to have more sense than getting 15 yard celebration penalties that almost always lead to the opposing team starting at mid field

Phew. Would have been mad if Michigan didn't win that one since they outplayed wisky by a bit but missed 3 freaking FGs. 3 weeks till EL..

Had no idea that after warm ups, the Clemson players all got on buses, drove a couple blocks to another part of the stadium just to run down that hill. Figured the locker room was close by and they just walked over there.

Indiana does what Notre Dame could not do. Beat Sparty. :hello:

Good for IU, they've had a lot of near misses against the good East teams and deserved one.

ND still has played no one with a Power 5 win, but that will end next week because NC State toppled mighty Wake Forest today.

That Wake Forest loss still pisses me off. We gave the game away with the -5 turnover differential. But getting a win against Sparty makes it all feel better, and now I am more optimistic about getting bowl eligible for a second straight season. That hasn't happened since the early 90's.

Watching the fates of ND and Texas since that season opener has been amusing. Texas got that huge poll jump and has been sinking like a rock since then.

I don't think Strong can survive the season, which is good. If he is going to fail it needs to be now so they can bring Herman back to where he started coaching.

Change at DC seems to have paid off. After giving up 508 yards per game, they're down to 373 per game this year. Granted, that number will be put to the test now that the conference season is starting, but I'm very encouraged by the number of turnovers and defensive plays that have been made. 12 INTs and 9 fumbles recovered last year, and I guess they are on a similar pace this year.....but already have 2 defensive TDs vs. 1 last year. 3rd down defense has got to be a lot better than last year.

Route to a bowl game is beating at least 3 of Rutgers, Purdue, Maryland, Penn State, and Northwestern. I'm not sold on Nebraska either, so I don't think that's unwinnable. Ohio St. will completely destroy us this week and Michigan late in the year, but at this point I'd be surprised if there's not 6 wins on this schedule.

The impact of Tom Allen is real. Even beyond the stats, our defense passes the eye test this season for truly being improved. Certainly not perfect but we look much more organized and competent.

I will be very disappointed if we can't grab 3 more wins out of that group of games you mentioned.
