Heyward will turn things around next season. No way the Cubs aren't swarming him with hitting coaches in the winter.

A guy that big hitting the ball so weakly shows how hard baseball is.

Almora is significantly better as a hitter than Heyward this season though

Out of all qualified hitters, only Adeiny Hechavarria has a lower OPS than Heyward, so it is safe to say you could plug in almost any name you want to the start of your sentence and have it be a correct statement.

Would like to see the offense get it going again. Not sure what they were doing differently on Sunday but other than that game the offense has been in a bit of a struggle.

And even that night they were silent for the majority of the game, despite the early outburst. Probably nothing to worry about, but the extended periods of nothing is annoying.

That game was dumb.

It feels like literally every cards win vs us this year happened on a home run from the 6th inning or later

Only 5 of their 8 wins against us are like that lol

This honestly makes it sound like you just started watching baseball, like, a week ago.

Lol at StL acting like they just won a big playoff game.

The Cards announcers seemed more pleased with the fact that the Cubs wouldn't be able to clinch on their turf.

Lucky for Heyward the Cubs are so damn good that the casual fan doesn't care about his ridiculous contract right now and the fact he's still under 1 fWAR mid-September. Either that or he's won over fans with his hustle and body language (something Soriano and Cutler didn't do).

Either way, it's still amazing how little vitriol I've seen over his performance.
