“It’s a lot of fun to win,” Garza said. “You go through three years of constantly hoping, you kind of run out of hope. You come to a team like this, where every day we’re going out to win. We’re not going out to hope to win.

“We’re going out with the attitude that we’re going to win. It’s a lot different. It brings up a lot more emotion, a lot better emotion than hope. It’s confidence. That’s what we’re playing with a lot right now.”

Damn. Sorry, Matt.

I keep waiting for Dex to get hot again. Hopefully it happens before the season ends.

His 2nd half numbers are very similar to his 1st half numbers last year with more OBP but less SLG

Yep - Washington just got less scary.

They were the only ones that were even scary, at all. Now... not so much. We have, by far and away, the best team in the NL. And the only other really good team is now merely good like the rest of them. That doesn't mean much come playoff time. But it does mean something.

What happened with Washington? Had the sound muted.

Strasburg had to come out of his start after 2.1 innings after coming off the DL.
