Maddon over managing here. Hammels earned the right to correct himself and give the team a chance to win. The Cubs are not in the heat of a pennant race right now.

 

Hammel has earned nothing and whether pulling him this time was uncalled for or not, his obvious griping every time he gets pulled is hilarious given how OK of a pitcher he is.

I want to say Zastrysny had an uptick in velocity, like 94-95, at the end of the college season and was particularly impressive with Mcleod in attendance.
