with that dong tonight russell probably eclipsed his 2015 WAR total in 30 fewer games. also should be passing the 3 win mark very soon.

Hendricks gives up a HR to leadoff the game, throws 50 pitches in 2 innings, and turns it into another dominant outing. What a lionheart.

Travis Wood has a 3-0 record and an ERA under 3? Wtf?!?!?!

 

 

It seems like a lot of his sucking has come in blows outs and games where the Cubs were already losing, the under 3.00 is more surprising to me. Especially considering it felt like he went a month without making an out.

The difference between Wood's ERA and FIP/xFIP has to be one of the biggest margins in the league of anyone who's pitched a decent amount of innings

No evidence to back it up but it seems Rizzo isn't that great at picking balls or at least keeping them knocked down around him. I know that was a really tough short hop, but I can recall quite a few balls like that this year he's whiffed on
