Yeah, a guy coming back to visit the team he pitched for for 11 of his 12 years in the MLB. THIS IS SO PERPLEXING.

I mean, why did Henry Blanco come back to work for the organization? Everyone from his teams are gone, too.

You guys are ridiculous. Just answer the question and move on. I never said he wasn't welcome and comparing why a paid employee is there vs a retired former player is almost as weird as the Billy Williams comparison.

Let's move on and talk about Seal Boy going awol

Did big Z leave on bad terms? I dont even remember. Also, I love big Z.

June 2011: Calls out Cubs as "'embarrassing" and a "Triple-A team," while throwing Carlos Marmol under the bus for giving up game-tying hit to Ryan Theriot on a slider.

August 2011: Serves up five home runs in 10-4 loss to the Braves, ejected for throwing at Chipper Jones, cleans out locker and announces his "retirement." Cubs subsequently place Zambrano on 30-day disqualified list, without pay.

The Cubs traded him in November. I agree though, despite this Z is cool and was my favorite player for most of the 00s

if you really need an answer to "who opened the door" then I would start with the clubhouse workers/attendants (who probably have not turned over) and then consider the various fellow Venezualans on the team (Miggy/Willson/Rondon) and then reach further out to guys he played with in his last season in the majors with Miami.

You ask for miracles Theo, I give you one Christopher B. Coghlan.

lol you and jersey and sometimes David somehow get me so frustrated at times it drives me nuts. Which is hypocritical because this sort of attitude and mockery is what I love about this board. I guess it's just less fun when the gun is pointed at you.

I love you all just the same

Damn was it only November? I thought Theo pretended to give him a chance to make amends or whatever for longer than that.
