Would rather have rested Jake this inning hopefully he's a on a short leash.

Eh Giants have a great offense and the Cubs bats aren't getting much done. These are the types of outings that you occasionally extend your ace for, especially on the closest thing the Cubs have had to a losing streak all year.

5.1 no hit/no walk innings from Giants pen. Frustrating because they are lining it all over

Eh, after the Milwaukee series I am just glad to see us hitting the ball hard again and chasing a crap starter early. Get this win and worry about tomorrow.

We've made hard contact and haven't struck out much. I'm not worried.

It feels like Bryant is going the other way with the ball less and less, even though Fangraphs says he's only going 6% less than last year. When he was in the minors it felt like his HRs were an even split between left and right field.

I wanted this to be an RD game after the 2nd inning. I need an official ruling on what minimally constitutes an RD game? Does 4 count or does it have to be 5? Edited by badger

This.

Plus I'll forgive them because they aren't used to playing baseball at midnight.

I thought the wind was blowing in tonight? Or did I get Len's initial tweet mixed up?

It's nice to see Soler learned to play defense

I feel like he's running back and sticking out his glove and the ball is happening to land in it. Like the [expletive] player in the Sandlot.

Maybe Soler will turn it around like Smalls did

I hope so, because this season so far he's been killing me.

Hahaha. It is crazy how much confidence Smalls got from that miracle of a catch he made.

Let's hope he's not like Benny off the field, though.

I was just imagining him giving people nicknames cause he cannot be bothered to learn their names.

I see what you did there. And I liked it.
