This is absolutely un-horsefeathering believable. This is literally the worst luck I've seen in back to back games. What the horsefeathers.

The thing I thought the moves would do is make it so there wouldn't be very many dead offensive slumps like this.

There might not be as many, but there have to be some. The season is just too long for there not to be periods of slump and sadness.

I think I naively hoped that a lineup with at least 7 good hitters in it every day would at least have 2-3 guys not all playing terrible at the same time at any point. I mean, it's probably actually the case now, but I figured they'd be a hard team to shutdown.

It's nice that even if we lose we are still 6.5 games up after a bad stretch of baseball. But this has been the first game in a while where frustration had got me a bit.

Agreed. it's not losing. it's just the overwhelming bad luck for cubs/good luck for brewers. Soooo many hard hit balls.

Also, the fact that all of these deep fly balls have gone to dead center is annoying as horsefeathers. Because of course we're getting punished for making perfect contact.

Milwaukee has the dumbest park in the NL and stupid games consistently happen in it.

Pittsburgh and Houston always annoyed me. So does Dodger stadium at night and April/May Wrigley. Miller park never has annoyed me much.

to be fair, "perfect" contact should result in a HR to center field

but like most of my co-worker's husbands the guy seems pretty douchey so warren probably didn't like him. i didn't tell her that, though, when she told me.

but on second thought warren DID go to UNC so maybe they got along just fine.

I wouldn't mind a line drive that bounces off the pitcher and ricochets around the infield, shattering everyone's kneecaps.

Out of curiosity are you going to do this up to 50 more times this year?
