I'm confused. How isn't our shouting on the internet having any effect on this game?

I'd feel differently if we were going to see a different pitcher than the one that has been dominating us all day. Also, I'm not complaining [expletive] like this will happen from time to time you run into a great pitching performance.

To be honest, I'd rather see Cole out for the 9th getting the top of the lineup another look at him, and with near 100 pitches. Doesn't look like he's going to get that shot though.

one of us will be right at some point, but I'm going to go ahead and prematurely call the first Heyward dong for the bottom of the 9th.

20 games over is the invisible barrier that 10 games over was for much of last year.

The best part about forgetting most things about baseball is I sure as horsefeathers never dwell on random losses like this. It must be awful to actually have a reference point each time the Cubs lose a game.

yeah..aside from that weird ass game against the reds when we gave up like 8 runs in an inning, i have zero specific recollection of our losses...well, the double header too because that's fresh and was a double header.

i have no idea what the hell he's talking about.

Wasn't it 5 for a long time?

I remember the losses because there are so few of them, there are like 15 games we won 9-2 that I have no recollection of
