I question Soler and his -.7 WAR being in any lineup. He has been BABIP unlucky though.

If you're suggesting that we just banish him to the bench, that doesn't seem very logical. We have to either play him, or trade him to a team that can play him. That's all there is to it.

well, those really aren't the only 2 options...

Long term? Name one other career option for Jorge Soler besides playing for us or playing for another team.

You can't squander a player's development by just having them sit on the bench.

don't go moving the goal posts, but since you brought it up, he still has a minor league option this year.

or we could catapult him into the sun

Moving goal posts?

And yeah, that's right, we could catapult him into the sun. Whoops, I forgot.

I really don't know why I ever talk to you

I honestly don't, either. That's for you to figure out.

If I'm so stupid and so crazy, I'm not sure why anybody bothers to quote my posts. Or, in Mojo's case, spend a significant amount of time typing up paragraph after paragraph debating with me.

Addy is giving zero [expletive] about the new law with the size of the dip he's got in

Lmao. I would guess it's some sort of non-nicotine herbal chew.

Although, now that I say that, I wonder who is enforcing this rule. Is it an honor system type thing? Or does the ump have to test your dip for nicotine?

There was definitely a tin on the top of the seats behind Dusty all weekend. Every time they showed him it was there. I wonder how hard they are actually enforcing that rule.

I'm picturing some sort of on-the-spot test like police would use for drugs. The ump makes Addy spit his dip into a little container of solution and then shakes it around, and if it turns blue, he's in trouble.

You're sure it was actual tobacco and not some sort of alternative?

Anyway, Soler needs PAs somewhere to get out of this. He won't do it on anyone's bench.

He just had a fantastic 10 pitch PA in which he should have been on 1st.
