We should start a petition to get the seal exhibit at Shedd Aquarium (no idea if they have one but let's start a petition for that too if they don't) named after LaStella

Wait...what?

They announced this a few months ago...he's getting a street dedicated to him in Humboldt Park. I thought it was weird as horsefeathers too. But then, it doesn't look like the bar is real high for those honorary street signs.

And apparently Javy thinks it's humble park.

Jay can only be bothered to know the names of superstar parks, like Grant and My-linear park.

I mean, it's definitely possible, and it totally fits Javy's personality. But it's probably just as likely that his phone autocorrected.

Why you gotta ruin our fun, Brandon?!

for the last year (486 PA) he's got 10 unintentional walks vs. 120 K, and still fails to reach .750 OPS despite huge babip/plus speed

still hard to be excited for him going forward but who knows

Over/Under Memorial Day for Baez to take his first non-IBB walk?

Over. Since, after the last two games, he will be intentionally walked for every plate appearance from here on out.

If you look at the last 11 months instead of 12 he's at a .775 OPS/101 wRC+ which is plenty valuable with the defense/positional value he provides. I'm probably never going to want to just hand him an every day position, and I'd like to see him used as a trade chip before he hits arbitration and folks no longer dream on the what if's, but he's great for the role he has.

Was May 3rd, apparently.

With these new found powers I'll set the Over/Under on first inning runs allowed by Cubs pitchers as 0 by the All-Star Break
