Tunsil never failed a drug test in college and was clean during his combine testing, yet Bosa was suspended for marijuana and that apparently wasn't an issue. The NFL is weird.

PR is a thing. There wasn't video of Bosa doing it.

Understand.

Well whatever, the Dolphins got a dude who could have been 1st overall for 13th pick money. Good for them.

I'm not acting like that at all. I'm saying that a choice he made years ago bit him in the ass last night.

You are forgetting the part about him deserving to lose millions and be embarrassed during the biggest moment of his life due to him going to Ole Miss and being paid to do that. As the first blue chip prospect in history to be paid by boosters, he deserved to be made an example out of.

So NFL execs knew that a video might exist as the Edson was supposedly trying to sell it. We don't know if he was asked about it during his interviews with teams but if he lied about that's another red flag. I'm sure he was asked about the benefits he received and if he denied receiving them from Ole Miss the video contradicts that as well.

The bottom line is if you have NFL aspirations or just go to a power 5 school every day of your life is an interview with the way social media is now. He fucked up and we don't know what he told teams prior to today. I would guess if he made knowledge of this prior to tonight none of this happens.

lol at the notion that NFL teams give two flying fucks about NCAA violations. You are colossally naive if you think that even a single blue chip prospect these days isn't being given incentives by boosters and even more naive if you think the NFL isn't aware of that.

No, but the NFL cares A LOT about bad PR.

I know they don't. My point was we know he was asked about it during the interview process and if he lied about it and/or the weed that could have triggered the drop as well. I don't think teams care that much about the weed either, and if he had admitted about it early on during the process none of this would have mattered. Someone from the Ravens mentioned this morning they decided against drafting him because they didn't know what was going to come up next.

How do we know that he was asked about NCAA infractions and how do we know he wasn't truthful about it? You're making assumptions upon assumptions.

And also, that video is contradictory anyways. He is asked if he received money from coaches and if the messages were real and he goes "no". Then a minute later someone is asking about the bong video and then someone immediately asks the same question about being paid and he said "ya I'd say that." Given that Tunsil is not a complete imbecile, it's likely that he was just trodding out his talking point about the bong video. Tunsil basically had 3 talking points he kept repeating during interviews last night 1) It was me, It was a mistake I made in the past, 2) I'm blessed to be here with the Dolphins, and 3) I'm looking forward to the future. He pretty much didn't deviate off that script in any interview. To think he decided to go rogue and throw his school under the bus like that is unlikely when half his coaching staff is standing 10 feet away from him.

Also, Tunsil didn't learn about the instagram posts until he was giving an ESPN radio interview which he gave right before he walked into the press conference. They asked him about the instagram thing and he was completely caught off guard.

I think it's more likely that this 21 year old dude whose world was just turned upside down had his head in a million places and was a bit confused by all the questions being thrown at him than to suggest that he denied being paid by coaches and then 30 seconds later decide to throw Ole Miss under the bus and admit to it.

Roger Goodell on the Tunsil drama...

"I think it's all part of what makes the draft so exciting. Clubs make decisions. Sometimes they take risks. Sometimes they do the right things. Sometimes they don't, and we'll see. Hopefully he is going to turn out to be a great young player."

Smoking pot isn't a stupid decision you ninny

It is when you could lose millions for recording it

Did he have a selfie stick in that video? I can't recall....

Yes. It's an original selfie stick. You might refer to it as HIS LEFT ARM.

Getting filmed smoking pot is a stupid decision, tho

Having a photo/ video of you smoking pot on your phone from high school still is really stupid. Yeah in real life smoking pot isn't a big deal but it is in the NFL so he's an idiot.

It wasn't on HIS PHONE. Someone else took that video and clearly sold it to someone or sent it to someone who shouldn't have gotten it. His account was hacked.

Dude, HE'S the one holding that phone. Lol.

He was probably coerced into holding the phone, this is all one big conspiracy.

I really don't care that he smoked weed. But I wouldn't have drafted him highly at all. I'd have likely drafted a kid from a California school or Oregon or something. Maybe even the kid from Deltona, FL who played college football in Memphis. But not a weed smoker from Mississippi.

What a circus

They might as well have said he was abducted by aliens. The same amount of people would've believed it.

I'm sorry I don't feel bad for Tunsil. It sucks and surely it was done by some horrible individual, but he's still got a chance to earn a lot of money playing a game.

I felt a lot more sympathy for La'el Collins last year who went undrafted due to nothing he did.
