is Tyler Adams hurt?

Yes, back injury is what I read. The comments seemed to indicate it wasn't super serious, so hopefully it won't be a problem for Nations League.

boy, leipzig missed him.

Hoppe puts a dagger in Frankfurt . . . dang. chance of top four they lose to relegated Schalke.

Chelsea looked like Lampard Chelsea - no offensive threat.

Kane asks to be moved but only to a PL team. Seems like he may be able to attract an offer but could be tough spot for Spurs.

As long as he doesn’t go to Chelsea.

apparently there is some feud there that makes it unlikely? Worse for spurs though because they'll get Haaland instead.

I’m not super concerned about Chelsea being better than Spurs. That’s going to happen much more often than not regardless of who they sign. I’ve just always disliked Chelsea. I know this would be sacrilege to say if I lived in London, but I’d rather Kane go to Arsenal than Chelsea. Never liked Jose, Chelsea always used to beat Spurs and they’ve been a big reason why Spurs haven’t won a trophy in the last decade (2012 FA Cup semi, 2015 League Cup final, 2017 FA Cup semi, 2016-17 League). And I’ll always be bitter about Chelsea winning the UCL on PKs despite getting absolutely dominated by Bayern and costing Spurs a spot the next year (then UEFA changed the rules a couple years later). And I’ll always dislike Mario Gomez for missing 77 good chances in that final as well.

I can’t fault or dislike Kane for wanting a transfer. The last two years have been a complete disaster.

People criticize the away goals rule but penalties are far worse . . . definitely should not count goals in extra time though. I agree with Wolf. Man U seems like the better style for Kane.

not to be lost on the weekend, John Brooks joins the Champions League (assuming he stays at Wolfsburg). Gio also in as Frankfurt self destructs. So Brooks, Gio, Adams, and Richards (if he comes back to Bayern) play CL next year. Looks like McKennie is probably on outside looking in though.

It's probably not going to be another London club. He'd be a huge upgrade to any of Liverpool, City, and United.

I have a hard time seeing this move happening. No one will want to pay $150 for Kane with Mbappe and Haaland as alternatives. I don't see anyone that desperate for a striker that also has the money. Barcelona would be a great fit if Messi stays but I don't see them having the funds. City would be an option but they don't really need him . . .

The only match for Kane that makes sense to me would be PSG, I'm not sure if they would need to sell Mbappe first though. Agreed that there isn't a good Premier League match for him, and the more irrational of those potential options are the ones Spurs would be most hesitant to sell him to.

agreed. especially if they end up trophyless. sounds like they do not need to sell Mbappe first.

Pulisic and Steffen, obviously, are in the UCL final that day.

My reaction after thinking about this for 30 seconds

- Bringing Ochoa to Europe but not Turner?

- They must really be high on Che to bring him in over CCV or even Zimmerman

- I'm guessing Zardes' omission is a lack of fitness since he's been battling a knock, and if he improves he'll slide in for Hoppe by the end of camp

- I don't get Julian Green's inclusion, especially when they went to the effort of bringing in 3 MLS midfielders so it's not a Euro-centric thing. De la Torre, Cardoso, Perea, Williamson, Roldan, Bassett, I'd even take Holmes over Green.

Any complaints are very much on the margins though. I hope Adams' inclusion bodes well for him playing in Nations League, since it seemed folks were writing him off after he was shut down from Leipzig's final game with the back injury.

Chelsea blowing a top 4 spot on the final day would make me quite happy.

And of course within minutes Leicester scores an own goal to tie it up.

Villareal becomes the smallest city (pop 50,000) to win a European cup - taking over from Mechelen (pop 87,000) who won one in 1988.
