I go with waffles because they're almost idiot-proof; you order them and you're likely to get something delicious. French toast achieves maximum deliciousness IF it's prepared right, but they're too easily screwed up. Even if I'm making them myself there's a good chance I'll horsefeathers it up.

I've never messed up French toast but I agree others can.

Chocolate chip and/or blueberry pancakes are great, but FT all the way.

French toast also has the tendency to get the soggiest/mushiest quickest of the three. I feel like I have to kinda race through a plate to maintain the perfect toast/syrup balance. Waffles are basically scientifically designed to maintain that balance for a longer period of leisurely enjoyment.

nooo horsefeathering way! what?

that's pancakes easily and it's a big reason why i have them last. once they are good and soaked with syrup, pancakes can become a soupy mess real quick.

you're not wrong about waffles though

Yea German Pancakes are pretty [expletive] great. It's a staple of almost any family holiday brunch.

Well let me tell you something, my kraut-mick friend, I'm gonna make so much french toast this weekend, you won t know what hit you!

I suppose this is the place where I get to brag about the time I ate 20 IHOP pancakes during one of the all you can eat specials...all smothered in butter and strawberry syrup.

And waffles FTW.

Damn. That's impressive. I used to work there and put away 13 once, but felt like I wanted to die afterwards.

1 through 11 went down very fast. 12-14 with a little effort, 15-17 were pretty tough but still manageable. 18-20 sucked. Those last 3 I would just sit there and chew each bite for like a minute before I could convince my body to swallow.
