I have to believe he just doesn't know how to eat

he's so skinny I think they figure he'll slip right through the cracks in the line like Kitty Pride or something.

Leonard Floyd, OLB, Georgia | Highlights

The Bears moved up two spots to draft a player who had 4.5 sacks in 2015. Floyd never dominated at Georgia. He is an incredible athlete, but the pick is risky. Defensive coordinator Vic Fangio will have to coach up Floyd, who needs to put on weight. The Bears did need another pass-rusher, but to surrender a fourth-round choice for Floyd is odd. Thumbs down. -- Jeff Dickerson

This was the only pick in the top 10 that was given a Thumbs down.

Fox teams have drafted two other pass rushers in the first round. Julius peppers and von miller.

Post draft grades/reactions are completely meaningless. We all know this.

Yeah but Jeff Dickerson gave him a thumbs down.

Oh completely, I'm not arguing there. Just posting some of the initial reaction. Thought it was funny everyone else was given a thumbs up

Hope Leonard Floyd is good (and obviously Fox and Fangio have a good eye for pass rushing talent) but I hate passing on Tunsil.

I can kind of understand Pace not wanting to take a character risk (did have character concerns, not counting tonight) with the blow ups last year. Didn't mean he had to trade up, but I almost wonder if Conklin was the other guy they were eyeing and then made the move.

with Tunsil sitting there, this seems like a huge disappointment.

I hope this guy isn't Pace's Shea

When weed is that much of a priority for a guy, that does not bode well for an nfl career

Dumb statement

I might've had the wrong guy, but as long as the NFL tests for it, it matters.

9. Chicago Bears: Leonard Floyd | Grade: B+

(Pick acquired in trade with Tampa Bay Buccaneers)

The Bears traded up to get a versatile edge defender in Leonard Floyd. He’s been a hot name in recent weeks as his long frame, athleticism and on-field production had both 3-4 and 4-3 teams intrigued. Perhaps most impressive about Floyd is his transition to a more traditional linebacker role last year as he took to it quickly and added even more value to his game.

Ultimately, he will be judged on his ability to rush the passer, and he ranked fifth in the class with a +28.9 rush grade last year. He also ranked fifth against the run at +18.4, so that all-around game and positional versatility will make him a key cog in Chicago’s defensive resurgence.

Not sure if anyone would bite on this juke in the NFL, but that's some good athleticism. It'll be interesting to see how much bulk they ask him to put on, how much he's able to, and how much it slows him down.

That Aldon Smith comparison was probably a little optimistic on the size/strength end. But even at this size, out of the gate I'll bet they could find some good matchups.

They kept showing this graphic about how the Bears only had 8 interceptions. I want more s So maybe Tunsil would've been the smartest choice (if they thought he was good) but as a fan looking for entertainment I'm happy they focused on pass rush. I've wanted an awesome 3-4 defense for a long time and this one is coming together.

I think your mind would be blown knowing how many nfl prospects and players smoke weed. It does not bode anything for a career.

Obviously a ton of them do. I was thinking of some guy who, rumors were, did nothing to quell teams' concern over it in his interviews (basically was defiant about it). It looks like I had the wrong guy. I don't follow this stuff too closely.
