He's not a clear outlier, current pitchers like Bumgarner and Greinke hit the ball amazingly well, which is what adds to them being 'elite' (and former ones like Maddux). Lester does not do these things.

Well this game is officially not fun to be at.

I mean, I don't like that the Cubs have likely lost three straight since that fun streak.

But let's hope the Cards can win tonight and get back out there tomorrow against the Braves without too much damage being done.

We needed Lester to come up big tonight and he didn't. Period. Yes, he's been great for awhile, but for a guy that's being hailed as our ace (although we all know it's Arrieta), this is a huge letdown.

Jesus Christ you are negative. You act like the season is on the line tonight. It's a bad start after about 20 mostly very good ones.

I don't think you actually know what outliers are. Worrying about how well a pitcher hits is just going to give you really pointless ulcers.

he didn't need to come up big the other times? once again, you're vastly overstating the importance of the game that is currently being played.

get him out of the game, and take his [expletive] lap dog too

After last night they can't really afford to put it all on the bullpen again. Might as well leave him out there as a long as possible.
