Ian Happ's strikeout problems are starting to worry me some

33.6% for a college guy is pretty much unacceptable. Deewees sporting an OPS just north of .650 in shortseason doesn't exactly thrill me either. Considering there was only about 5 kids taken with any kind of upside, the far too soon review on it is extremely negative.

Happ looked completely overmatched by a junk ball pitcher when I saw him in Montgomery.

I wouldn't be surprised if Happ or Dewees are traded this offseson. High draft pick status will help. That said, do think Happ will hit better when he's playing 2B next year.

The good thing is that Wilson, Hudson, Kellogg, and Twomey are some of the FOs best picks outside of the first round since getting here. Partially shiny new toy syndrome on Wilson and Hudson, but Hudson/Twomey/Kellogg are the most interesting arms on draft day that the FO has picked and signed.

Not over Johnson/Blackburn/Underwood or Stinnett/Cease/Sands/Steele.

Isn't Montgomery in AA?

Final line for Pierce: 7 IP, 6 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 6 K on 105 pitches. To be fair to him, it should probably be 1 ER as the defense completely fell to pieces on him in the 4th when two scored. The Chattanooga scorer was awfully generous with scoring errors as hits tonight...

Almora with a flyout, walk, and double.

Who would have more trade value right now, Almora or McKinney? I'd actually lean towards almora because of the position and overall upside Edited by HendryWallet

22 walks in his last 64.2 innings for Pierce. I'm ready to see him and Edwards in the pen in September. With either of them having a possibility of being a multi inning reliever for us in the postseason(stolen from Raisin on Twitter)

By the way, Mendy was put on the inactive list for Iowa today. Guess they're ready to let him forget this season and get him ready for winter ball.
