The Bears love drafting injured first rounders. What did Pace know of White's injury when he drafted him because I thought the injury occurred as White prepared for the combine, not during OTA's.

You thought wrong.

John Fox was the one who said that was the reason a few weeks back: http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2015/08/05/john-fox-kevin-whites-injury-likely-stems-from-over-training-for-combine/

Do you understand how something can contribute to an injury before the injury happens?

Lol guys. The season's over because an unproven, albeit good rookie WR won't play for at least half the year?

I'm excited about the Cubs as anyone, but their season could be over before Week 5. Although ironically enough, so could the Bears season.

I still have hope though. Hopefully the difference between a rookie White and Wilson/Veteran FA won't be as great as we're all fearing it'll be.

A team with no defensive talent needs its top ten pick WR to produce in a year when your previous 1 leaves. This offense is less talented then last year and they sucked last year.

@CBM no, they were already going to be mediocre at best. This is just the proverbial nail in the coffin.

Damn. Survived a suicide attempt and his wife is saying it's because of depression suffered from hits taken in the NFL. Sad

Kramer's one of my favorite all-time Bears. That sucks.

I'd take that with a huge grain of a salt.

He was a QB for the Detroit Lions. It's certainly a reasonable possibility.

Very sad that Kramer has reached those depths, but great news that he survived.

[Cutler] has the physical tools, but inconsistent, particularly in the clutch, mostly due to a lack of poise. He’s not comfortable reading defenses and consequently locks on to a favorite or predetermined target that may or may not be the right choice. The less he’s asked to see the better he is. A better half-field general than a full-field one. This will be his make-or-break year. Needs to be his biggest critic and hold himself accountable.

Eh, Cutler has consistently been one of the best 4th quarter and comeback wins QBs in the league in his career, IIRC. I think his biggest issue is he doesn't anticipate very well. He's fine at throwing to an open man. I think he struggles to throw a receiver open and to anticipate throws to said receivers when they are making their breaks. I think that was a big difference in the 2014 and 2013 Bears offenses. Teams played a lot more man coverage against Marshall and Jeffery (Brandon lost a step, both were not 100% until Jeffery late in the year), and a combination of a boring route tree and Jay's lack of anticipation, which is more necessary vs. good man coverage....cause the offense to falter last year.

Been Jay's make or break year 3-4 years in a row. Cutler never made anything and he's still here. I could see Jay here next year even if his numbers drop a little this year because who would you replace him with?

Does anyone take Angelo seriously besides ESPN suits?

i think Angelo is pretty much right. Jay's lazy and he makes lazy throws. If he worked harder could he be a full-field quarterback? maybe, everybody says he's super-smart. that said, even as he is, he's a pretty decent quarterback, but by-and-large, Angelo is spot on with his analysis.

there was one throw against Green Bay that Jay made that said it all last year. it was to a covered Forte in the flat, but trying to hit him in stride. It was a terrible throw, but an even worse decision. He wasn't trying to throw the ball away, but it looked like he was, he threw it too early and he threw it with a man on Forte's back. It finally made me put aside my irrational Cutler love and simply think of him as a decent QB.

You're calling a guy who works out with his WRs all offseason in remote areas, has learned new offenses before everyone else several times over the last 6 years, and as a diabetic, shows up in great shape every year....lazy? And 1 throw changed your mind on him? Your post is as cliche as the "doesn't care, body language" crowd.
