Of course it goes to the deepest part of the park.

Well, kinda sucks that our historic streak is over.

Come up with a better reason than that.

"kinda sucks" is much less pathetic than "can't handle being no hit."

Trading for a pitcher to join this offense at this point would be tantamount to a violation of the Geneva Convention.

i feel like all of the outs came either via strikeouts or hard hit balls right at somebody.

How many home runs would he have given up yesterday or even with neutral wind, 3? Aggravating.

Yeah, sorry man. I realize that the can't handle part was difficult for you. I was hoping to get away with it, but nope. I got caught.

I am going full meatball and saying at this moment right now I hate this team. I don't care if they have been hovering around .500 for the last few weeks. The hitting is horrendous. With the pitching we have been getting we could have been putting ourselves in a very good spot. I know we're still in it, and I am not giving up, but I am really pissed at them right now.

hey man they are young rookies learning on the job they need to learn how to adjust. they need to learn how to control the strike zones.. *cough Cough* they need to learn how to make contact.

I'm so glad I'll be on vacation for the next three weeks and won't have time to sit down and watch this deplorable, inexcusable offense for three hours at a time.

And it's fine being a meatball once in a while, so long as it doesn't become your primary setting. My inner meatball wants to chew out the team for hitting like [expletive] for the past month and a half. Everyone has been underperforming and we can't get hits with runners in scoring position. It's pathetic. On paper, our offense is as good as the Cardinals', our pitching is just a tick below theirs, and yet situational hitting is why the Cardinals are playing .666 ball while we're hovering a little above .500.

Bad luck is screwing us over. Again. It's getting pretty old.

Both the Giants and Pirates are significantly better than this team right now and there's not much that can be done to change that.

The Giants rotation is 20% Bumgarner, 20% Chris Heston trying to keep up his current pace, and 60% mediocrity or worse. Don't be a 'today was bad so everything is bad forever' person.

That's fair I just feel like they're going to be able to "out-vet" the Cubs when it counts.

What's the point in letting something beyond your control dictate your emotional well-being?

Sure, I get upset in the heat of the moment when bad and stupid things happen to the Cubs. But I try to get over it quickly.

And I don't have a huge problem with that. It's cool that the Cubs have given themselves a fighting chance, but in the end, I'd imagine they are going to fall short to those two teams.

We have a bunch of guys learning at the MLB level for the first time all at the same time, but it's fun to have expectations again and actually get pissed at losses in late July.

is the worst part of being a moderator having to read every post in game threads instead of having most of the posters on your ignore list? blink twice for yes.

Holy [expletive], everyone. I'm very sorry for the poor choice of wording. Can't handle meant for me just that it would kinda suck.

It's funny because you are one of only two posters I have on ignore, but I always get curious and click on it anyway. Not that you'll see this. *shrug*
