Len is right - you could hear a pin drop right now. Atlanta has the worst fans

They are terrible, but to be fair, the team is awful and their only good player is injured

I guess Wrigley's spoiled me. Even in our worst moments the last three years it was never this quiet

Cuz cellphones....amirite?

Their fans aren't raucous because it's too damn hot. I've been in that park many times and because of the heat, you try to minimize your movements and exertions. It's a miserable experience going to games there.

CUBS are 35-8 (.814) when they score first in the game.... 12-33 (.267) when they don't

Go CUBS !!

good stat, thank you

Can't believe Alcantara isn't here if for no other reason to push Russell and Fowler.

That .725 OPS in AAA the last 45 days isn't scaring anyone.

They are terrible. It's been a few years, but they are terrible. I've been probably 4-5 times, but I've always left feeling that way.

The last time I went I did meet a really nice old gentleman (braves fan) at the bar/restaurant across the street from the stadium (The Dugout?) before one game. We chatted baseball and he was just a really nice guy. He said he was going to the game but thought he'd go back and spend time with the wife since he was a little tired (he reminded me a bit of Moonlight Graham, FWIW). He gave me tickets to the "715 Club" which is apparently a private restaurant area overlooking centerfield. When I was there, some frat boy looking bro said to me:

Frat dick: "hey that Cubs hat looks new"

Me: "yes. it is. I got it today, actually"

Frat dick: "figures. loser BANDWAGON (he said this like he heard the term for the first time in his life and wanted to use it for once) fan!"

Me: "you know the Cubs are terrible, right? how does that make me a bandwagoner?"

Frat dick: *some stupid, failed attempt at a repartee that I've since forgotten*

Between him and the fans behind me when I sat in my stadium seats that chanted "19-O-8" *clap, clap, clap-clap-clap*, to be sure I wanted desperately to punch someone in the face by the time I left.

Apparently Atlanta decided if we couldn't score runs by ourselves, they were going to do their damnedest to give us some.

On second thought, I think the bar/restaurant may have been called the bullpen. And the "19-O-8" chant was directly chanted towards ME. Like they heckled me for having the audacity to wear a visiting team's t shirt and sit there quietly in my seat trying to enjoy a game.

CUBS are 40-31 (.563) when they get they get at least 6 hits .... 7-10 (.412) when they don't

Go CUBS !!

7 wins with 5 hits or less seems really impressive. If the offense ever wakes up and the pitches remains steadfast, we will go on a really good run.
