For the most part, I don't mind the whole personal catcher stuff since Montero needs a day off every fifth day or so anyway, and I really don't mind Ross as a backup. However, this is one of those times it's extremely annoying, coming after a team off day Monday and facing a lefty yesterday. Montero's had two days off and because of that could handle the day game tomorrow even if he starts tonight. I'm sure we'll see Ross though.

As tree pointed out yesterday, tomorrow is a day game, so Ross and Montero are each going to get one start regardless.

 

The personal catcher thing is fine for a backup if you're not using the same personal catcher as the righty half a of a platoon. Add in that Lester has faced [expletive] zero lefties all season and it's a lot of wasted PAs.
