Skulina was pulled after 3 IP 68 pitches? seems like an awful short outing.

Might have hit the organization's pitches/inning max if he threw that 68 pitches in 3. They pull a pitcher immediately if he tops that max.

Walk-off double for Schwarber.

Dewees and Rose are apparently with Eugene already.

It's a testament to how spoiled we've been with prospects the past couple years that I'm mildly disappointed by Happ's start.

There have been some disappointing starts there. Kevonte Mitchell has essentially been DOA so far and Eloy has cooled down hard in recent days.

Might have been a walk-off HR. Can't really see the ball all that well, but it looks like it might have hit the very top of the wall (on or above yellow line) or that a fan might have touched it. No camera shot of the OF getting the ball at all. So, it looks like it should either be a walk-off 2-run HR or a ground-rule double and the runner should have had to stop at 3B. But could be just the poor camera work.

On a random note, the 1st Baseman for the Omaha Storm Chasers is Casey Kotchman, who despite popular belief, still plays baseball.

He's only 32 and played in the majors as recently as 2 years ago. This isn't at all strange or interesting for the purposes of this board.

If it was some journeyman hoping to work his way back, it wouldn't be interesting. But personally, I find it interesting any time a former star quietly resurfaces in the minors. And while he's not Barry Zito humbly accepting an assignment, he was as fairly big deal once upon a time.

Lol...He was a big time prospect, but he was never really much in the big leagues. Best season was 2.7 WAR. Only had more than 1 WAR twice. Multiple seasons below -1.5. Memory serving you well, WSR.

Apparently Wladimir Galindo left yesterday's AZL game after being HBP in the forearm.

I don't know what's serving you, but BBR's serving me a 3.7, 3.6, and a 2.1, as well as a handful in the -0.3- -0.9 range, but no -1.5.

My point is that he was monster prospect with a successful big league career. When guys like that sign a minor league deal with a comeback in mind, it tends to make some degree of news. And it's the first I'd heard of it.

Oh, I don't know, maybe the other website that calculates WAR (and does it better)?

"Successful" is a very low bar for you then.
