I can't wait to see the highlight. Sounded ridiculous on the radio.

I hope he's ok so I don't have to feel bad about laughing my ass off

Can't tell if he's really hurt or if he did the same thing one of my little leaguers did last night after throwing a ball from second base into the visitor's dugout and immediately grabbing his arm and crying that he'd been hit by the ball (though he fielded the ball cleanly with his glove).

by the way, if polanco had caught that ball and castro hadn't tried to score, who would've been the batter? i guess jaxon would've had to hit for himself?

Ross was still available, although that would have left Coke as the only remaining pitcher and I don't think he was warming, so my guess is Jackson would have hit.

ross strained his oblique in yesterday's game and ended up bunting into a strikeout on a 2-2 count. i'm not sure he can swing a bat right now. i think jaxon was the only move there, especially since he was needed to pitch as long as the game went on.

Ross was on deck in the 10th so he clearly wasn't a hard scratch if the situation dictated it, but I agree Jackson would have hit there.

i'm mildly hoping that ross was just being used as a decoy there, and he's injured enough to require time on the DL.

Sure, the ending was odd, but the odds are in your favor if you keep getting men on base every inning.
