Eh, I think it's more of an issue now. Teams maybe knew that he didn't throw over much, but I think the fact that it's common knowledge now that he clearly has the yips makes it a bigger deal.

I was having a good day. Took my boy to his first Royals game today. He loved it. Left a little early because the wife has an early start tomorrow. Get in the car Cubs up 4-1. Listen to the Royals win. Think maybe I can get 780 all the way out here. Turn to 780 to hear Rizzo just got a hit and Bryant is coming to the plate representing the TYING RUN?

 

Trying everything in the world to avoid this series and these guys keep running win probabilities up high enough for me to go ahead and tune in. Freaking Charlie Brown and the football.

Our bullpen is just bad.

We can live with K's i mean our offense is streaky but were still #4/16 in .OPS in the NL. Thats fine,

 

Pitching? 12/16 i mean thats ERA but still thats just bad.

I love the patient approach the lineup's been displaying all year, but methinks their tendency to layoff meatballs could be a real problem.

We still have a winning record against what has been one of the most (if not the most) difficult schedules in baseball to start the year. Bryant and Soler have yet to really hit their strides. Grimm and Wada will be back soon. Overall, the bullpen will settle down. The Cubs are 1st or 2nd in every advanced pitching metric - the ERA will come into shape.
