Michael wouldn't have done this.

See Chicago sports fans are going to find anything they can to put down LeBron but if LeBron wins this series, he's no doubt in the same class as Michael. When Michael retired and played baseball, the Bulls were a 2nd round team that could have easily gone to the Finals. This Cavs team without Love and Kyrie wins 25 at best if LeBron went and played football.

Whatever the case, LeBron is amazing and we need to respect his greatness.

Lebron is already in MJ's class regardless of this series outcome and really whatever happens the rest of his career. But I still don't like him or really enjoy watching him all that much.

I'd say no, Lebron is not in Michael's class due to the blowouts and play he had against the Mavs and Spurs in the Finals. I don't think he earns that distinction when he has team hopped, hand picking his teams and putting himself in favorable positions while doing so. The entire East was garbage this year too, so a sleepwalk to the Finals was completely in the cards.

The Cavs beat the 1 and 3 seeds in the East to make the Finals. Those two teams averaged 55 wins, and played at a 53 win pace against the West. They're currently leading the Finals against a 67 win team from the West.

EDIT: After last night the Cavs are now 16-5 against the West since trading for Mozgov/Smith/Shumpert.

Leading a team like Cavs have without Irving and Love to a title over a very good Warriors team would be better than most players have done.

Who was the worst starter on a Jordan team? Either an aging Cartwright or Longley? How many has LeBron had that were worse than those 2? 3/5 of the '07 team plus Shumpert at least?

JR Smith has played the 3rd most minutes for Cleveland in this series.

LBJ has taken 41.2% of Cleveland's shots in the Finals, while putting up 41-12-8-2-1

Jordan never came close to that kind of usage. If Cleveland wins this series, LeBron will have had the greatest Finals performance of all time.

I feel confident saying it would be the worst supporting cast of any NBA Champion.

Then factor in how good the Warriors are and I would think that he'd be putting in an all time great Finals performance.

Sorry but are the Cavs putting on a defensive masterpiece all of a sudden or are the Warriors just choking?

I'd say the Warriors are choking. I've never seen an undrafted white rec league chucker play effective defense in the finals on a MVP, let alone play at all.

I agree with the general line of thought here, but let's back off how good the Warriors are. I think Curry is pretty limited right now due to the head trauma and he's really what makes that team go.

When does the cap go way up? There is no way he signs a long term contract (with no opt outs) before that time.

Goes up significantly this year but the big jump is next year. So there is nothing surprising about Lebron opting out and he'll do the max contract with the opt out option when he re-signs this year again.
