I wonder if Emery could talk Dave Toub into coming back to the Bears as HC? Or is that bridge burned?

I thought about that before. But while I thought he was an intriguing candidate last time, I'm not sure I feel the same now.

toub strikes me as a potential college head coach but I have doubts about him at the nfl level

Good lord, I don't want to see Clausen hurt but the thought of Cutler coming in and leading the team to victory...

 

I do have a bit of a problem with the "we're seeking improvement at QB" stance though. Seeing what you have in your backup, keeping Jay safe, or even saying you need a "spark" is vague enough, but there's absolutely nothing which suggests Clausen can be an improvement over Cutler.
