I made a point to watch Groy specifically in the first quarter and he looked okay outside of his one opportunity to pull. Zoned out after that, but wouldn't surprised. I just don't think he's very athletic. Inside moves were tough for him.

My favorite is the non-player analyst saying Cutler is the highest paid QB this year and actually said $22 mil when Big Ben and Eli have a bigger cap hit. Bring 3rd isn't any better, but jesus, get the facts right. LOL

I agree. He made it a point to say that Trestman was responsible for dealing with the Kromer thing, which was largely mocked by the media. Beginning stages of throwing Trestman under the bus. I don't think he's gone tomorrow but I think it's increasingly likely he's gone after the season.

Cutler cap hit is 18.5 mil this year and 16.5 next year. Only 2 mil savings.

Lamarr Houston helped our run D while he was here. Allen was always risky, just gotta hope for a fluky late career resurgence and then be smart enough to run away in 16.

 

But yes as stated there really aren't Cutler savings. Overall we should have about 18.75 after rookie pool if the cap didn't rise, so any extra gain is gravy. Also really no cap savings to speak of that'd make sense by cuts, so that numbers pretty firm.

I mean I really want there to be more to the story of Trestman not doing PC so let's hope so.
