@wiltfongjr: Per @PFF, LBs Shea McClellin & Jon Bostic had the #Bears best run defense grade at +2.0, Brock Vereen had the best pass coverage grade, +1.1

My eyes definitely disagreed with McClellin and Bostic's run D grades.

I wonder if it's because they got burned on screens that were considered passes?

Perhaps. I think Shea's trip play was a screen.

I don't see any upside in keeping Emery. I certainly wouldn't trust him to hire another coach.

I am not sure how this type of information is allowed to leak out. Especially if it was the ownership group having a meeting...who in the McCaskey family would leak that info out unless there is an adgenda. Is it possible the Bears leaked it to give potential coaching candidates a heads up that the position will be open in 2 weeks? I really don't think the Bears are high on Harbaughs list, but its possible they would make an offer that gives him full control of football operations to entice him to come here, hence why Emery's status is 'undecided'

I'm not even sure I'd want a GM/HC anyways even if it was Harbaugh. I also think he'd be a better fit at Michigan but that's besides the point :)

Rodgers, Brady, Brees vs. 2014 Bears: 94/117 for 1269 yards, 18 TD, 0 INT

Depressing is when you look at Tannehill, Geno Smith, and Manuel.

Smith - 26/43 316yds 1TD 2INT

Tannehill - 25/32 277yds 2TD 0INT

Manuel - 16/22 173yds 1TD 1INT

Totals - 67/97 for 766yds 4TD and 3INTs

Not all that special outside of Tannehill.

All their best games of the year though. LOL

If they were gonna leak it for the purpose of letting potential head coaches know, I think they'd probably leak it to someone in the national media, not Dan Bernstein.

I just might not be a tight ship up there...maybe secretaries and assistants are told what happened in the meeting?

Well that explains it. That I restrained myself from putting my size 11 Nike sneaker through my 62 inch tv set Monday night while Gruden's ugly face was spouting nonsense was rather amazing. The Bears play wasn't even as bad as Gruden's mouth Monday night.

As far as hopes for this year, other than their failure to remove Tucker from his position as defensive coordinator, I had extremely high hopes for this team this year.

The entire coaching staff needs to go. I could almost give Emery a pass, but that he chose Trestman over Arians tips the scale, IMO. Granted, it's a bit of hindsight that Arians is better than Trestman and Emery should have known that, but that's what he supposedly gets paid to do. Bring in the best people to accomplish your goal. He missed with Trestman. He swung the bat and missed before the pitcher even let go of the ball on Arians.

This amount of unnecessary detail makes me feel like I'm interviewing a witness on Law & Order.
